Automatically Greet Customers in Maxchat with the Greetings Feature: A Simple Guide for Your Business
Simply put, the Greetings feature allows you to send automatic reply messages to your customers. These messages are sent when a customer starts a conversation for the first time within a 24-hour window. This feature is useful for making a great first impression, providing essential information, or directing customers to specific options.
You can view, create, edit, and delete Greeting messages anytime.
Viewing Existing Greetings: Greeting Table

When you access the Greetings sub-menu, you will see a table displaying all the Greeting messages you have previously created. This table provides key details for each Greeting:
- Active: Indicates whether the Greeting is active (will be sent) or inactive (will not be sent). Active messages are marked as "Active," and inactive ones as "Inactive."
- Title: The name or title you assigned to the Greeting message. This helps you identify the purpose of each message.
- Greeting Message: The content of the message that will be sent to customers.
- Days: Shows on which days of the week the Greeting will be sent.
- Hours: Displays the time range when the Greeting is active and will be sent.
How to Add a New Greeting Message

Want to create a new automated greeting message? It’s very easy:
- Find and click the
+ New Greetingbutton. - A pop-up window will appear where you can fill in the details of your new Greeting. You will need to configure the following fields:
- After filling in all the details and settings, click Save or Create (depending on your interface) to finalize your new Greeting.
Editing an Existing Greeting
If you need to modify an existing Greeting message, schedule, or any other setting:
- In the Greeting Table, click on the name or row of the Greeting you want to edit.
- The same pop-up window as when creating a new Greeting will appear, allowing you to make changes.
- Don’t forget to save your updates.
Deleting a Greeting
If you no longer need a particular Greeting:
- In the Greeting Table, click on the name or row of the Greeting you wish to delete.
- In the pop-up window that appears, click the
Deletebutton to remove the Greeting.
Quickly Finding a Greeting
If you have many Greetings saved, you can easily find one using the search bar. Simply type the title of the Greeting you’re looking for, and the system will display matching results.
With the Greetings feature, you can ensure every new customer receives a warm welcome and essential information, even outside business hours. It’s a simple but effective way to enhance your customer experience with Maxchat.
